50th anniversary Lutsk cardboard and paper factory!

Today, LLC “Lutsk Cardboard and Paper Factory” celebrates its 50th anniversary! Fifty stressful years separate the plant’s staff from the moment its first stage was put into operation. Fifty years of successful work in the pulp and paper industry! Fifty years of processing secondary raw materials! Fifty years of caring for the environment! Fifty years of hard work and high results! Fifty years of continuous development and the launch of new production lines! Fifty years of dedicated employee service!

The history of the construction and establishment of the Lutsk cardboard and paper factory dates back to 1967. The project involved the Research Institute “Hyprobuilding Materials” of the Ministry of Building Materials Industry of the USSR and the Project Bureau of the Ministry of Pulp and Paper Industry of the USSR. Construction of the enterprise began in 1967 and lasted for six long years. Production equipment for installation at the plant was supplied by FAMPA from Poland.

On August 9, 1973, the State Commission signed the act for putting the 1st stage of the Lutsk cardboard-roofing plant named after the XXVII Congress of the CPSU into operation for the production of roofing cardboard. This marked the beginning of the annals of the plant’s production activities, becoming one of the largest industrial enterprises of its time. A year later, in October, the 2nd line of the soft roof production plant became operational. At that time, the production capacity of the enterprise was 50 thousand tons of roofing cardboard, 125 million m2 of roofing material, and 3 million m2 of linoleum per year.

Years passed, and the plant continued to develop. In 1997, SE “Lutsk Cardboard and Roofing Plant” was renamed Lutsk Cardboard and Roofing Plant, and in 1998, in accordance with the decision of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, OJSC “Lutsk Cardboard and Roofing Plant” was established. In the 1990s, the plant held a monopoly on the production of soft roofing in independent Ukraine (accounting for 64% of the consumer market). The product range of the roofing workshop was also expanded to include bituminous slabs, bituminous lubricants, glass roofing material, hydroglass insulation, and a new type of linoleum on woven and non-woven substrates was mastered. Annually, 25% of all manufactured products were shipped for export.

In 2013, OJSC “Lutsk Cardboard and Roofing Combine” changed its name to “Lutsk Cardboard and Paper Factory” LLC. The factory’s priority areas of production at that time included the production of raw materials for corrugated production (fluting, testliner), roofing, box, and binding cardboard. Specialists of OJSC “LKPF” worked intensively on improving the technology of paper and cardboard production.

In October 2021, a new workshop for the production of corrugated cardboard and corrugated cardboard, as well as a line for the production of protective cardboard corners, was launched. The assortment of cardboard and paper products is increasing and expanding, with the total productivity of the factory reaching up to 6 thousand tons of products per month. In October of this year, another line for the production of cardboard corners was launched. The new line will help optimize work, ensuring consumer demand for cardboard products by increasing the capacity of the cardboard corner production department.

Today, the factory’s products are in high demand not only in Ukraine but also abroad, including Poland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, and more.

Regarding future development prospects, they are closely related to the main activities of the enterprise, with the primary mission being to increase the efficiency of its work. In the future, the factory plans to follow market trends, improve existing production and management processes, and develop promising areas of activity.

The main advantage of the enterprise is its workforce. Thanks to the management, highly qualified specialists, experience, and close cooperation with partners, the factory’s staff successfully masters new production technologies, resulting in quality, attractive, and accessible products for consumers.

We had imagined this celebration differently, but the war has significantly altered the situation in Ukraine and our plans. We will definitely celebrate our anniversary, but only after Ukraine’s victory over the Russian aggressor! Today, we all work together, each on our own front, bringing victory closer every day. Thank you to every defender fighting on the front for the opportunity to work and support the rear!

Thank you all for your trust and cooperation over these 50 years!
We will win! Let’s celebrate!

We don’t stop here; there are still many ambitious plans and new heights ahead!
